6.3 Payment Security

6.4 Failed Transactions

If a payment fails or remains pending, the booking may remain unconfirmed until successful payment verification.

Guests should contact the reservation team before attempting multiple payments for the same reservation if the transaction status is unclear.

7. Cancellation, Amendment, and Refund Policy

7.6 Resort-Initiated Cancellation

In the event the Resort is unable to honour a confirmed reservation due to circumstances within its control, we will contact the guest and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include an alternative arrangement acceptable to the guest or a refund for services not provided.

Nothing in this section limits statutory refund rights or other remedies available under applicable law.

8. Check-In and Check-Out

9. Guest Occupancy and Children

9.1 Room Occupancy

The number of guests accommodated in each room must not exceed the permitted occupancy for the selected category.

Any additional guest or extra-bed charges will be communicated during booking or before the additional service is provided.

9.2 Children

Children's accommodation, meal charges, complimentary stays, and extra-bed eligibility will be governed by the child policy associated with the selected reservation.

9.3 Additional Guests

Guests must inform the Resort before accommodating additional individuals in a reserved room.

All additional occupants may be required to complete applicable guest registration requirements.

10. Guest Conduct and Resort Rules

Guests are expected to maintain appropriate conduct and respect the comfort, safety, and privacy of other guests and Resort personnel.

Guests must not:

  • Engage in illegal activities;
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse guests or employees;
  • Damage Resort property;
  • Create unreasonable disturbances;
  • Violate applicable safety regulations;
  • Enter restricted or staff-only areas without permission; or
  • Engage in conduct that compromises the safety or security of others.

The Resort may take appropriate action in response to serious violations, including contacting relevant authorities or requiring a guest to leave where lawful and reasonably necessary.

Any applicable charges or refunds will be handled in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

11. Resort Facilities and Services

Corbett Elegant Retreat offers hospitality and leisure facilities, which may include:

  • Swimming pools;
  • Restaurants and dining facilities;
  • Spa and wellness services;
  • Recreation facilities;
  • Children's activity areas;
  • Event and banquet venues;
  • Outdoor leisure spaces; and
  • Other guest experiences.

Availability, operating hours, usage restrictions, and charges may vary.

The Resort may temporarily restrict access to facilities for maintenance, safety, operational reasons, private events, or circumstances outside its control.

Where a material included service becomes unavailable, the Resort will seek to provide an appropriate remedy consistent with the booking terms and applicable consumer rights.

12. Swimming Pool, Spa, and Recreational Activities

12.1 Swimming Pool

Guests using swimming pools must follow displayed safety instructions and Resort guidelines.

Children must be appropriately supervised by a responsible adult.

Guests should not use swimming pools while under the influence of substances that impair judgment or coordination.

12.2 Spa and Wellness

Spa and wellness services may require advance booking and may be subject to additional charges.

Guests should disclose relevant health conditions or other concerns to the service provider before receiving treatment where necessary for safe service delivery.

12.3 Recreational Facilities

Guests must use recreational equipment and activity areas responsibly and follow instructions issued by authorised personnel.

Participation in recreational activities may involve ordinary risks associated with the activity.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Wildlife Safaris and Outdoor Experiences

Corbett Elegant Retreat is situated in the Jim Corbett tourism region.

Where the Resort assists guests in arranging wildlife safaris, excursions, or other outdoor experiences, such arrangements may depend on independent operators and relevant government authorities.

13.1 Safari Availability

Safari bookings may be subject to:

  • Government permits;
  • Forest department regulations;
  • Zone availability;
  • Seasonal restrictions;
  • Weather conditions;
  • Official closures; and
  • Other applicable requirements.

13.2 Wildlife Sightings

Wildlife sightings are natural and unpredictable.

The Resort does not guarantee sightings of tigers, elephants, or any other wild animals.

13.3 Third-Party Operators

Where activities are provided by independent third-party operators, their separate terms, safety instructions, cancellation rules, and liability provisions may apply.

Guests will be informed of material third-party terms where relevant to their booking.

14. Restaurant and Dining Services

Dining services are subject to restaurant operating hours, menu availability, package inclusions, and applicable pricing.

Guests should notify the dining team of dietary preferences, food allergies, or medical dietary restrictions before ordering.

Although reasonable care may be taken in preparing food, complete elimination of allergens or cross-contact cannot always be guaranteed.

Outside food, alcoholic beverages, and other consumable items may be subject to the Resort's applicable guest policies, which will be communicated where relevant.

15. Destination Weddings, Banquets, and Events

Corbett Elegant Retreat offers venues and services that may be suitable for destination weddings, private celebrations, conferences, corporate retreats, and other events.

15.1 Event Enquiries

Submitting a wedding, banquet, conference, or corporate event enquiry does not constitute a confirmed event booking.

15.2 Event Confirmation

An event booking becomes confirmed only after:

  • Acceptance of the event proposal;
  • Agreement on the commercial and operational terms;
  • Completion of any required booking documentation; and
  • Receipt of any applicable advance payment.

15.3 Event-Specific Agreements

Event bookings may be governed by separate written agreements covering:

  • Venue allocation;
  • Guest count;
  • Accommodation;
  • Food and beverage arrangements;
  • Decoration and production;
  • Vendor access;
  • Event schedules;
  • Payment milestones;
  • Cancellation conditions; and
  • Applicable operational requirements.

Where an event-specific agreement expressly differs from these general Terms, the event-specific agreement will govern that event to the extent permitted by law.

15.4 Permissions and Compliance

Event organisers are responsible for obtaining permissions allocated to them under their event agreement, including any required approvals relating to music, performances, copyrighted content, decoration, fire safety, or other regulated activities.

15.5 Noise and Event Timings

Music, amplified sound, event activities, and celebrations must comply with applicable local regulations, government directions, and permitted operating hours.

15.6 External Vendors

External decorators, event planners, photographers, caterers, and other vendors may be subject to prior Resort approval and applicable safety and operational requirements.

Any vendor restrictions or associated charges will be disclosed before finalising the event arrangements.

16. Corporate Bookings and Group Reservations

Corporate retreats, conferences, meetings, and group bookings may be subject to separately negotiated terms.

These may include:

  • Minimum room commitments;
  • Group rates;
  • Meeting room allocation;
  • Food and beverage packages;
  • Payment schedules;
  • Guest lists;
  • Cancellation deadlines; and
  • Event-specific service requirements.

Corporate and group rates may not be combined with public promotional offers unless expressly permitted.

17. Promotions, Packages, and Special Offers

From time to time, the Resort may introduce:

  • Wellness packages;
  • Romantic getaway packages;

Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers cannot automatically be combined with other discounts.

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify promotional offers prospectively, without altering confirmed bookings except as permitted by the applicable booking terms and law.

18. Photography, Videography, and Commercial Shoots

Personal photography and videography may be permitted in designated areas, provided they do not interfere with other guests or Resort operations.

Professional or commercial photography, videography, drone operations, advertising shoots, or organised content production may require prior written approval.

Guests must respect the privacy of other guests and staff.

The Resort will not treat acceptance of these Terms as consent for commercial publication of a guest's identifiable photograph or video. Where required, separate consent or another appropriate lawful basis will be obtained.

19. Personal Belongings and Property Damage

Guests are responsible for exercising reasonable care over their personal belongings.

Any loss, theft, or damage should be reported to Resort management as soon as reasonably possible.

The Resort will handle reports in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the incident.

Guests may be liable for damage to Resort property resulting from their deliberate misconduct or negligence, subject to applicable law.

Any compensation sought will be based on reasonable repair or replacement costs and the actual circumstances involved.

20. Parking and Vehicle Safety

Parking may be available to eligible guests and visitors, subject to capacity and applicable Resort regulations.

Guests must park vehicles only in designated areas and follow instructions from authorised personnel.

Vehicle owners remain responsible for complying with parking and security instructions.

The Resort's responsibility for vehicle loss or damage will be determined by applicable law and the facts of the incident.

21. Health, Safety, and Emergencies

The Resort may issue safety instructions relating to:

  • Swimming pools;
  • Fire safety;
  • Electrical equipment;
  • Outdoor activities;
  • Wildlife precautions;
  • Weather conditions;

Nothing in this clause restricts statutory rights to initiate proceedings before any other competent forum where permitted by law.
